Review : New York to LA

                                                     OFFICIAL BLURB

Anna Percy is film-star gorgeous. Which is just as well, because she's new to Beverly Hills, and being beautiful in LA is like Manolo Blahnik heels - simply a must...

Anna's left her dysfunctional mother and all her friends back in NYC to move in with her father, but by the time she's on the plane she's already regretting it. That is, until her encounter with a very handsome stranger in first class. A stranger who turns out to be Ben Birnbaum - only the hottest, most desirable guy in LA. So maybe showing up to the celebrity wedding of the year is a smart move... Then again, maybe not...

Finally after weeks I'm reviewing. I got this book from the clearance pile at Borders and I honestly did not expect it to be so good but it was. I wouldn't say that it was amazing but it was honestly better than i expected it to be. The prologue starts of by retelling the story of how Anna and her best friend Cynthia actually became best friends. And lets just say that half of you people will probably laugh out loud and the rest of you you would go "Eeeeeeeeeew".

I thought the book would be a typical good girl meets bad boy and falls for him, he does something bad and asks for forgiveness by pursuing her and showering her with attention and eventually the girl takes him back and happily ever after, but it's NOT. The scene on the plane was a little short but funny. I wouldn't say that the author's writing was exceptionally good, but was good enough to read. The antagonist Cammie Sheppard was pretty funny although her ' heart was the size of a blackhead'.
In conclusion it was good, light read, perfect for a read on the beach. Although Dean could have given the guy a better name, I mean Birnbaum... come on!!!

I give it :  2 bags of pixie dust.
