Review - Hush, Hush

OFFICIAL BLURB

Falling for the fallen ...
For Nora Grey, romance was never part of the plan. Not until Patch came along with his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgement.

But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora isn't sure if she can trust him. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and to know more about her than her closest friends. And when she tries to seek answers, she discovers that she is right in the middle of a centuries old battle between the immortal and the fallen and it's time to take sides.

As a special tribute to the end of the series, I am going to reread the books for the 2019th time and write reviews.
My friend told me about this book maybe two years ago and I was like seriously, Patch, it 'sounds like a dog's name' * inside joke for all of us who have read silence* but once I read just the first 17 pages... well I was hooked all right, I finished the book in record timing and once I got to the last page and read the the Crescendo promo, I rushed out to buy it. I feel so bad for my uncle, because I read through the barbecue that night at his place.

THE STORY
I wasn't so into fallen angels before but after reading this book I hunted far and wide for fallen angel books just to satisfy my new found cravings. The blurb pretty much tells us what it is about. Becca Fitzpatrick is an amazing author and she keeps us thoroughly entertained with each passing moment of the book.

NORA GREY
Nora is your typical smart quiet nerd, who gets good grades and apparently eats organic foods only aaaand she writes for the school newspaper. She has trust issues although in Patch's case rightly so. When the book started she seemed a little naive and your typical ' I need saving all the time type of heroine ' but she puts up a good fight and in the end you just can't help but wish you were her. Why?!! - because she gets to have Patch of course.

PATCH CIPRIANO
OMO (it means Oh my God in Korean) ( btw I'm not Korean, I just have a friend who is obsessed with Korean shows), he is so sexy and I mean like wow!!! leather jacket wearing, motorcycle riding bad boy with with a penchant for innuendos. Although his true motives are revealed later on in the book. I just could not get enough of Patch. In fact after finishing the book I practically reread it all in the same day and then I reread the parts with Patch. *Don't smirk I know some of you who have done that and some of you who will*

This book was amazing and I can't wait for the last book to come out although I'm pretty sure I would be in tears when the series ends.

                                          Amazing quotes from the book:

' He had an annoyingly confident walk, the kind you find paired with faded T-shirts and a cowboy hat. Patch wore neither. He was a dark-Levi's-dark-henley-dark-boots kind of guy. '

"Say 'provoking' again. Your mouth looks provocative when you do."

' After all these years one thing hadn't changed: I was still lured by danger. '

About the author
Becca Fitzpatrick grew up reading Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden with a flashlight under the covers. She graduated college with a degree in health, which she promptly abandoned for storytelling. When not writing, she's most likely prowling sale racks for reject shoes, running, or watching crime dramas on TV. She is the author of the bestselling HUSH, HUSH Saga.
