Feature and Follow Friday #10

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Q: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?
I always used to think that Cassandra Clare books, won't be so great because it was like Twilight and that all the appeal was due to the hype surrounding the books, but... I read Clockwork Angel and God I fell in love with the book! I ordered the Mortal Instruments and I just can't wait to read them because her writing is so good.
Another series was the Hunger Games trilogy. I seriously had to motive to read it and I really thought that the book would suck and all that. But once I read the first one, I used to wake up early in the mornings to finish the books. They are amazing and I mean it!!!
I bought The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer a few weeks ago and although I knew it was good, I just couldn't bring myself to read it even I though I said that I'm currently reading it on Goodreads and all that, but I started it two days ago and it was the best book I've read in a while. It was so captivating and it kept the reader guessing and wondering till the last 10 pages of the book.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is that all the books that I thought would be bad, actually turned out to be pretty awesome.
P.S. I'm having a giveaway, so please participate! If any of you want any books to be added to the giveaway list, I'll be happy to add it to the list:)

  4. Hi! This is the 2nd time Silk Screen Views is joining the blog hop. Following you by Twitter.

I'm actually not a huge fan of a lot of books people love. One of them is the Sookie Stackhouse series. It's just not my thing. The writing... ugh. Don't get me started! Ha!

We prefer people to follow us on SSV via Wordpress, Email or Twitter. =)

I just wanted to say that I'm not a fan of the Captcha password system. It takes a while for me to get one that I can actually read and type.

  6. Funny thing is, The Hunger Games was the reason I started getting into YA. It was so good, and is one of my favorite series.
