Infatuate (Gilded Wings, #2)
Haven Terra is still recovering from an internship that brought her literally to the brink of hell when a trip to New Orleans leads to more trouble. Graduating early from high school leaves the spring semester free, so Haven and her friends Dante and Lance head to the Big Easy to volunteer with community service projects. But their true mission becomes clear when they run across an enclave of devils known as the Krewe. New Orleans is a free-for-all for these shape-shifting devils, who are more reckless and vicious than any Haven, Lance, and Dante have encountered. And they soon discover their French Quarter housemates are also angels-in-training, and together they must face off with the Krewe in their quest for wings. But Haven’s resolve is tested when Lucian, the repentant devil with whom she was infatuated, resurfaces and asks her for help escaping the underworld. Can he be trusted? Or will aiding him cost Haven her angel wings—and her life? Thrilling, romantic, and full of surprises, this gripping sequel to Illuminate takes the battle of good and evil to the next level.

I really hope that she goes out with ... I know I'm rooting for the bad guy but still... I like him way better than the other guy!!!

TimeRiders (TimeRiders, #1)

Teaser #1

This indefinable factor wasn't coming from his database or his AI code; it was coming from the small part of his brain that was organic, the tiny nub of wrinkled flesh in his skull linked by a myriad hair-thin wires to hi on-board silicon wafer-cell computer. And all this indefinable factor could do was whisper a very illogical and impractical message into his logical computer, an awkward message that was beginning to cause a little confusion amid his carefully ordered AI code.
Liam O'Conner is my friend.

Teaser #2

'Because Madelaine, this building, these exhibits, are what we're all about .' He gestured with his hand at the giant skeletal frame of a brachiosaurus looming over them and all but filling the grand entrance hall.
'This is history that was meant to be. This is the history that you- just like the other field teams -are tasked with defending.'

Review- Deity by Jennifer Armentrout

Deity (Covenant, #3)
"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "
Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.
If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.
But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.
Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

This book blew my mind. .After finishing this book my mind was literally in tiny fragments, pieces so tiny that even the most skilled could not piece it together.... Okay that was a little dramatic I eventually did piece my mind together.

Okay the previous book - Pure ended pretty abruptly and when it comes to Jennifer the sequel to one book with a major cliffhanger is another book with a mega major cliffhanger. So when you finish this book you will be pretty confused, but not to worry folks that's where Jennifer's kind heart come in. She released a novella called Elixir that clears things up for us.

Okay back to this book. So many things unravel and morph right in front of you it's unbelievable the amount of changes that take place from start to finish is pretty crazy!!! Like tear your hair out CRAZYYYYY!!!!!

The book starts pretty well. Although the first chapter freaks you out a little, it flows in with an aww at every page. You notice tiny things, which your not sure you should be noticing or letting go. And then it slowly starts building and then BAM!!!!!! Something you suspected for a long time comes true and you're like torn between saying I knew it and Whoa this awesome!

Then it gets funny, sad and cute and loving all at the same time and your overwhelmed with emotions but there is still this thing at the back of your mind saying, something big is going to happen and well your at least my instinct is always right. And then it's like carefully constructed chaos that practically jumps and you and yells BOO! I don't know how to phrase this exactly without giving away spoilers but let's just say that you will go mad and I mean MAD if you don't read Elixir and after I read that well... I'll put that in my Elixir review.

Aiden and Seth are both so amazing in this book although I'm Team Aiden, I really hate what happened with Seth! Ugh I can't say anymore. Alex is well Alex although she's become way more funny and kick-ass in this book if that's even possible.

But so many things happen in this book, although it doesn't feel squashed in together or anything but it's just so... overwhelming I mean you seriously need a few minutes to breathe in between chapters because otherwise I swear you are going to end up in the hospital with a panic attack as the reason.

I loved this book to pieces but I am so torn between loving Jennifer for her literary awesomeness and hating her for the way she ended the book. She is like the queen of cliffhangers or something, I mean all her books- the series ones anyway end so weirdly it's like she loves seeing us in pain or something.

Waiting on Wednesday #13

Waiting on Wednesdays is a weekly book meme that lets anxious readers like all of us know what to be jumping up and down for. It is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine.

Name: Poison
Author: Bridget Zinn
Publication date: March 12th, 2013
Poison
Sixteen-year-old Kyra, a highly-skilled potions master, is the only one who knows her kingdom is on the verge of destruction—which means she’s the only one who can save it. Faced with no other choice, Kyra decides to do what she does best: poison the kingdom’s future ruler, who also happens to be her former best friend.
But, for the first time ever, her poisoned dart . . . misses.
Now a fugitive instead of a hero, Kyra is caught in a game of hide-and-seek with the king’s army and her potioner ex-boyfriend, Hal. At least she’s not alone. She’s armed with her vital potions, a too-cute pig, and Fred, the charming adventurer she can’t stop thinking about. Kyra is determined to get herself a second chance (at murder), but will she be able to find and defeat the princess before Hal and the army find her?
Kyra is not your typical murderer, and she’s certainly no damsel-in-distress—she’s the lovable and quick-witted hero of this romantic novel that has all the right ingredients to make teen girls swoon.

Seems so old timey and cute with all the kings and princes and stuff. But I'm a sucker for some serious girl power and this seems to be it.. So... I hope Fred looks good, I kinda hate his name though. The cover is so cute and so disneyish! Can't wait for this book, for some serious arrow shooting. Doesn't the blurb kind of remind you guys of The Archers of Avalon series???!!!!

This week's teasers are from ... What A Boy Wants by Nyrae Dawn

What a Boy Wants (What a Boy Wants, #1)

   Teaser #1

Two days passed and I was still pissed. I'd never been ditched by a girl in my whole life. Now I had my so called BFF( and if I didn't stop using that word, I'd cut my own tongue out) playing hooky on me like I was nothing. Was this how girls felt when I bailed on them?

Teaser #2

" Not that I have to do it real often. She doesn't date much. her parents are real strict. They only let her date ... hippies. Yeah, they have all sorts of rules. She's only allowed to go out with vegetarians who live in energy efficient houses."

And I was a friggin' idiot.

" No, shit?" Matt asked, one of his eyebrows rose like some cartoon character.

Luckily he seemed to be an idiot, too.

I just finished this book like an hour ago and it is AWESOME!!! I don't know why I didn't read it before.

Review - Devour by Shelly Crane

Devour (Devoured, #1)
Clara has it all. A wrestling star boyfriend, popular friends, all the right school activities...pretty much a perfect life...up until her parents died. Now she lives with the Pastor and his family and though they take good care of her, she feels alone. Then her boyfriend, Tate, starts to show signs of trouble when a new guy, Eli, comes to town. Clara is fascinated with him but hides it until something happens. Eli confesses to her that she gives him something he's never had before...something he needs. Everything is about to change for this normal pretty popular girl in a supernatural way.

I went on goodreads and found this book. The reviews for it were pretty great. So I started to read it. I really liked it in the beginning. Okay I know I'm talking in short broken up sentences, but seriously this book started out great but then it just spiraled downwards. And it was such a major spiral, it was horrible. I nearly died reading this book. No seriously I actually almost did.

Firstly though the first part was pretty good, I thought the first chapter started out really weirdly. I mean come on would you just trust the weird new guy you saw at the park and walk home with him. I mean sure even if he looks amazing. I didn't think so. And lately I've been reading books where the main guy has purple eyes. I actually love the color purple so I was pretty okay with it. But something about Eli and purple just doesn't go you know.

I thought the book was good for the first half although I seriously hated Tate, what a jerk and not in a hot way either. I hate beefy guys. And he was short and beefy and jerky. Ugh, I bet his neck was as thick as my thigh. I think I read that description in a Meg Cabot book, the Mediator Series.

Anyway, back to the book, I really hated Tate and her group of friends. I mean can they be anymore superficial. I mean sure I get the cliques and all that. I mean come on I'm in high school too, although it's never what the books depict them to be. I mean sure high school sucks but not everyone is so ...

I really lost interest once the Hatch and Harold or someone one came in. It was so boring from then. And Tate deserves a good kick to his ... seriously. he is such an annoying bug. And let's not forget Deidre. UGH!!! And come on Enoch... Seriously!!! It's like hosing down an unburned building. It only gets the people inside more annoyed with the sirens or whatever, actually I had no idea what I just said.

I'm not going to continue ranting, it will only give you and me a headache.
So my rating....

Rating : 2 stars

This is an awesome meme that allows us to get more followers and make new friends. It is hosted Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.
Today's question of the day is ....

Q: Who is your favorite villain from a book?

Well I am on of those classic girls who mostly falls for the good looking bad guy. Sometimes I fall for them even if they don't look so good. So choosing my favorite bad boy or girl has been hard.
But I'm going to go with Snape and Bellatrix from Harry Potter. I love Bellatrix more actually. I was actually really sad when she died. And who can forget the good old bad Snape who was actually good so I don't know if he's counted.
Although I didn't like the series that much, Cruce from the Fever series is on the list. He was bad and so faerie-ish. So I loved that.
Also I really thought that Rixon would change and become good and come back in the last book but he was still bad. I really liked him also.

P.S. Should I have a giveaway for my first 50 followers?!!

Waiting on Wednesday #12

Waiting on Wednesdays is a weekly book meme that lets anxious readers like all of us know what to be jumping up and down for. It is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine.

Name: Natural Born Angel
Author: Scott Speer
Publication date: April 23rd, 2013
Natural Born Angel (Immortal City, #2)
Life turned upside down for Maddy Montgomery when she found out she was half-Angel and was catapulted into the scene of flashbulbs, paparazzi, and the fervent adulation that comes with being in the celebrity Angel world. She's trying to juggle her ordinary life—high school, family, friends—with the intense demands of being in the public eye as heartthrob Angel Jackson Godspeed's girlfriend.
And now Maddy must face the most difficult choice of her life. She's been offered the chance to become a Guardian. This means entering into dangerous and high stakes training, with no guarantee that she can succeed. But more than that, it would mean leaving her mortal life behind—forever—and allying with the Angels at a time when their relationship with humans is heading for war. . . .

OMO I cannot wait for this book to be out, I loved Immortal City, and like I said before for those of you who haven't read it it is so different, and I loved the attention being given to the small things. That just made the book more fun and page turnable! We should have known that directors will obviously be good writers. can't wait to see what he put into this book!!! April 23rd here I come.

Today's question of the day is ....

Q: If you could choose one supernatural being/creature to really exist what would it be and why?

There are so many supernatural creatures out there and I honestly love them all. I would definitely want Daemon Black to exist I mean which girl wouldn't. I also love demi-Gods and anything Greek related, so that is also an option. And who could forget the symbol of everlasting love --- The Vampires.

If the question was what supernatural creature I would want to be, well that is easy!!! I would die as give my soul or my favorite collection of books to be a FAERIE!!!! I have a serious obsession with them and well I would definitely want to be one!!!

Waiting on Wednesday #11

Waiting on Wednesdays is a weekly book meme that lets anxious readers like all of us know what to be jumping up and down for. It is hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine.

Name: Spies and Prejudice
Author: Talia Vince
Publication date: June 11th, 2013
 Spies and Prejudice
Fields’ Rule #1: Don’t fall for the enemy.
Berry Fields is not looking for a boyfriend. She’s busy trailing cheaters and liars in her job as a private investigator, collecting evidence of the affairs she’s sure all men commit. And thanks to a pepper spray incident during an eighth grade game of spin the bottle, the guys at her school are not exactly lining up to date her, either.
So when arrogant—and gorgeous—Tanner Halston rolls into town and calls her “nothing amazing,” it’s no loss for Berry. She’ll forget him in no time. She’s more concerned with the questions surfacing about her mother’s death.
But why does Tanner seem to pop up everywhere in her investigation, always getting in her way? Is he trying to stop her from discovering the truth, or protecting her from an unknown threat? And why can’t Berry remember to hate him when he looks into her eyes?
With a playful nod to Jane Austen, Spies and Prejudice will captivate readers as love and espionage collide.

Looks good doesn't it?! Oooh it seems so FBI and CIA style. I love stuff like that and can't wait for June... Ugh! It's so far way!!!

This week's teasers are from ... Sweet Peril by Wendy Higgins.
Relax I didn't magically get an ARC, Wendy posted the teaser online so I decided to keep it as my teaser.
Sweet Peril (The Sweet Trilogy, #2)

   Teaser #1

He’d hurt me plenty, and I refused to be his punching bag.
I wanted to stare Kaidan down, but when he turned to face me I was distracted by the girth of body beneath his face. I eyed the layers of muscle in his arms, chest, and abs. He was ripped! Was he living at the gym these days? His already toned belly now boasted a six-pack. Muscles didn’t usually do it for me, but I had to admit his tall frame wore it well. I swallowed and looked back up where he’d been patiently waiting for me to finish my perusal.
I cleared my throat and crossed my arms.

Teaser #2

(This is the first time Anna and Kai see each other after the New Year's summit in NYC.)

The look in his eyes dared me to pull away again. I sunk my fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck.
“I’m trying to talk to you,” I said.
“Yes, I know. But I’d rather not.”
In one step he had me against the table, the back of my thighs hitting the edge as he pressed his body flush against mine.
A whimpering gasp sounded from my lips.
I tried not to stutter, grasping his hair tighter. “I need you to be serious.”
His blue eyes scorched me. “Oh, I’ve never been more serious.”

EEEP!!! Don't they look amazing!!! *swoon * Kaidan's ripped stomach *wipes drool* No seriously I think I really drooled...
Oh ... why can't it be released sooner .....

Today's question of the day is ....

Q: What New Years Blogging or Writing resolution have you placed on yourself?

Well I'm sure every one's New Year's blogging resolution would be to blog more. And to join the group, no actually I really need to blog more. I read so many books last year but only put up a handful of reviews. And it's not like I don't like to review, I was just so busy. Ugh! So my other resolution is Time Management. And come on doesn't everyone want to lose a pounds here and there.

So I vow to review way more than I used to last year and to at least review twice a week.
I also promise to visit more blogs I haven't been very blogger friendly recently, so I promise to make new friends... lots of them!!!

And guess what I'm getting a new blog design courtesy of Ishita from The Reading Fish. Yup :) She's the girl that re-vamped Deity Island!!! So she's practically a legend!!! I can't wait to see my new design :D

Review- The Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1)
Magic is dangerous—but love is more dangerous still.
When sixteen-year-old Tessa Gray crosses the ocean to find her brother, her destination is England, the time is the reign of Queen Victoria, and something terrifying is waiting for her in London's Downworld, where vampires, warlocks and other supernatural folk stalk the gaslit streets. Only the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the world of demons, keep order amidst the chaos.
Kidnapped by the mysterious Dark Sisters, members of a secret organization called The Pandemonium Club, Tessa soon learns that she herself is a Downworlder with a rare ability: the power to transform, at will, into another person. What’s more, the Magister, the shadowy figure who runs the Club, will stop at nothing to claim Tessa's power for his own.
Friendless and hunted, Tessa takes refuge with the Shadowhunters of the London Institute, who swear to find her brother if she will use her power to help them. She soon finds herself fascinated by—and torn between—two best friends: James, whose fragile beauty hides a deadly secret, and blue-eyed Will, whose caustic wit and volatile moods keep everyone in his life at arm's length . . . everyone, that is, but Tessa. As their search draws them deep into the heart of an arcane plot that threatens to destroy the Shadowhunters, Tessa realizes that she may need to choose between saving her brother and helping her new friends save the world. . . . and that love may be the most dangerous magic of all.

I really don't know what was wrong with me, I cannot believe I haven't read any of Cassandra's books till now. I've always thought that her books were over-rated or something. And now I'm like over-rated, *rolls eyes at self* *gives a glare at self* they are awesome, I've ordered my box set of The Mortal Instruments and I can't wait for it to arrive. Cassandra Clare you are my new favorite author!!!

I absolutely loved the book though I'm really torn up between Jem and Will both of them tug and pull at my heart from both side so I really have to read the next book to know who will win the war. Though Will is more my kinda guy all badass and dark and dangerous. Jem is so sweet and caring and calm and smart he swallows you up whole.

Tessa was strong willed. She managed to keep love as her guiding point even when things were tough and they were tough alright. The things she had to go through.... But she still kept living through it all and that was what made me like her. That and the fact that she ... reads... in a society where reading was considered bad for women she still did it. I loved how Cassandra incorporated lines from different poems in there. Some of them were from my favorites. It was nice, to see the lines in the beginning of each chapter.

Will vs Jem... Honestly I was super torn between these two. While I want her to be with Will, something about Jem, maybe it was his big secret made me want her to be with him. I loved how one was light and how the other was dark. Made them feel like two sides of the same coin of whatever. I loved how Will showed his moments of sensitivity with Jem and Tessa. They were the only people who knew and got glimpses of the true Will.

There were many things that were not concluded in the book obviously... since it's a series and I just can't wait to get my hands on the next one. The ending was not a major cliffhanger but it was sort of abrupt. And it leaves wanting to know what HE wanted to know.

Rating : 4 and half stars

Never Too Far (Fallen Too Far, #2)
It had been three weeks, four days and twelve hours since I’d seen her. Since she’d torn my heart out. If I had been drinking, I’d blame it on the alcohol. It had to be an illusion; a desperate one. But I hadn’t been drinking. Not a drop. There was no mistaking Blaire. It was her. She was actually here.
Blaire was back in Rosemary.

I finished Fallen Too Far on the 30th I was instantly hooked on all things Fallen Too Far since then!!!
I loved the book and Rush was ... so sweet ... I can't wait for this book it's taking so long !!! Even though the official blurb hasn't yet been released I just had to add this book. It's too good to unnoticed.
